Biography

Chouchou is a Japanese music duo consisting of vocalist juliet Heberle and composer arabesque Choche, which is formed in a virtual world where there's no national borders or boundaries.

Arabesque was born to Czech father and Japanese mother. He started piano at the age of three and received a classical music education. After he graduated at the top of his class from a graduate school of music in Japan, he went to Austria to devoted himself to the study of piano. Up until now, he has won a number of awards in classical piano, held solo piano recitals and also performed in chamber and full orchestra concerts. He started composing music when he was in high school, and after going through many experiences in music, he found his new style of expressing himself and started Chouchou. He is in charge of the composing, arranging, mixing and mastering process, and he produces video works of Chouchou including music videos. Apart from that, he is a member of folktronica group “Orcaorca” with a guitarist maya Kawadias, Lo-fi Hip Hop project "no go", and composing music under the name of "Arabesque Choche" as a composer.

Juliet was born in Japan and brought up in Tokyo. She went to the U.S. in her teens by herself and graduated from one of the world's best art universities in the field of fashion, art and design in New York with a BFA in fashion design. While she was gaining experience working in the New York fashion industry after her graduation, her talent as a singer was also discovered by arabesque Choche. And together they started Chouchou to search for new possibilities of the collaboration of music and art. She is also directing the visual concept of the band, including album artwork, website design, and presentation in virtual environments such as stage design and sim design.
