“Chouchou XVI -The Babel-” now back in Second Life
One of our regions, “Chouchou XVI -The Babel-” which has been closed since 2013, is now back in Second Life. We have completed the reconstruction today, and it’s now open to the public. To visit, please access the link below.

Chouchou released official playlists for Apple Music & Spotify
On February 15th, Chouchou unleashed entire discography on music streaming services. And now official playlists created by Chouchou are available on Apple Music and Spotify. The playlists spotlight 15 scenes from daily life and will be frequently updated. They will continue to add new playlists, so please follow their official playlist account for updates.

Chouchou entire discography unleashed on music streaming services
Up until now, Chouchou has released a few albums on music streaming services on a trial basis. However, on February 15th, 2020, they will finally unleash their entire discography on music streaming services such as Apple Music, Spotify, Google Play, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, and so on, including their past works except “another dawn” and sound albums.

Chouchou new album “theme03 Hello, Astronauts” out Dec 13
Chouchou’s new album “theme03 Hello, Astronauts” has been released today!
After two years from the release of the previous “Traveling Nights” themed album “theme02 Night and Wanderer,” the scene is now shifted to the universe, and Chouchou releases their third concept album as the last release of 2019. The album contains nine tracks, and while challenging the most epic theme, “The Universe,” Chouchou writes its divinity, enigma, and beauty sometimes intensely, sometimes lightly, and sometimes lyrically. It is a record of “Space Traveling” that can only be written by Chouchou. The album is now available on digital download and music streaming services with its instrumental version “inst08 Hello, Astronauts” (8 Tracks).

Chouchou new album “code01 oort” out Aug 18
Chouchou’s new album “code01 oort” was released on October 18th. It is a divine full album filled with the beautiful yet experimental new sound of Chouchou. And it is now available for both digital download and streaming.
In December last year, at the event “Architecture and Resonance” sponsored by Kanto Branch of Architectural Institute of Japan, Chouchou performed an experimental live concert using a great sound system fully supported and provided by YAMAHA. And now, the songs played in the concert had been reconstructed by arabesque and came back with the name “code01 oort” and became the first album from their “Experimental Album” line newly launched for their experimental and avant-garde works.
Chouchouのニューアルバム『code01 oort』が、10月18日（金）にリリースされました。新しくも美しいChouchouの音で埋め尽くされた、珠玉のフルアルバム。本日よりダウンロードとストリーミングの両方でお聴きいただけます。
昨年12月、日本建築学会関東支部主催のイベント『建築と響き』にて、ヤマハの全面バックアップによる贅沢な音響システムを使い行われたChouchouの実験的なコンサート。その中で披露された楽曲達が今、arabesqueにより新たに再構築され、『code01 oort』という名を冠して再び蘇り、Chouchouの実験的且つ前衛的作品のための新しいライン「Experimental Album」からの最初の作品としてリリースされました。

Chouchou new EP “UTOPIA” out May 11
Chouchou’s new EP “UTOPIA” was released on May 11th, 2019. EP includes 5 songs, which were composed with the motif of the piano piece “-topia” from Chouchou’s latest piano album “piano02 opus” released on Dec, 2018. It is now available on iTunes stores and Bandcamp, and this time, we also test music streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, AWA and Google Play because we’ve received a number of requests from our fans. However, please understand that it’s not a easy thing for musicians to take a risky step of releasing own music on music streaming services and start building a completely new business model. We hope this new little step will find a good future for our music activity.

Chouchou second piano album “piano02 opus” out now
Chouchou’s 2nd piano album “piano02 opus” (CD/Digital) was released on Dec 1st, 2018. As a composer and as a pianist, arabesque put the all sensibilities he has now into this album “piano02 opus”. The album contains 18 songs in total including the song he composed and played for their own wedding ceremony, “andante” and the songs that were played in arabesque’s first piano solo concert held this fall. CD is now available on Amazon.co.jp. International shipping is also available for overseas fans. And as a special gift for CD purchase, CD will come with an autographed card by Chouchou. (First press limited edition only.)

Up until now, arabesque has been working not only as a composer and a pianist of Chouchou, but also as a classical pianist under his real name Michal Horák. And this fall, for the first time the two names will be combined together. He will have the first piano concert under two names with this title “Michal Horák/arabesque Choche Piano Concert.” The concerts will be hold in Tokyo, Osaka and Kagoshima, and Chouchou’s new and second piano album “piano02 opus” expected to be released on December, 2018 will be on presale at the concert venues. Tickets will be on sale at e+ (Japanese site) on June 17, 2018.

本名である「Michal Horák」名義でクラシックの演奏家としての顔も持つarabesqueが、2018年秋に「Michal Horák/arabesque Choche」両名義で初のピアノコンサートを東京、大阪、鹿児島の３都市で開催。自身の大きな価値基準となっている近現代の作品に重点を置き、父の故郷であるチェコゆかりの近現代の作曲家の作品、フランス近代、ロシア近代、そして自ら作曲した作品まで、ピアニストとしてまたコンポーザーとしての全てを堪能できるこのプログラムは、クラシック音楽の枠を超えながらも、それぞれに妥協のない演奏、そして彼の持つダイナミックな表現の幅や情緒溢れる繊細な音楽性で、比類なき独自の世界を作り上げる。

Chouchou new albums “Night and Wanderer” on sale Aug 12
Chouchou’s 2nd concept album “theme02 Night and Wanderer” were released on Aug 12th, 2017. The album features the theme of “Traveling Nights” and contains 10 brand-new songs. And the instrumental version “inst07 Night and Wanderer” were also released at the same time. It will be the first release from Chouchou’s 10th anniversary year.
